paxo and bisto

by Taylor & Freya Davies
(Telford Shropshire)

Last year we got two chickens at our school, we cornered off a section of our school field for them to live in, every day a group of us get picked to feed and water them and to clean them out which can be a bit smelly. We take turns in the school holidays and we get to take the eggs home if any have been laid.

We had a competition to decide on their names which are Paxo and Bisto. We like having them and have learnt lots about chickens, we have to make sure they are locked up in their coops at the end of the school day so the foxes cant get to them, as our school is a small village school there are a few foxes running around and we dont want anything to happen to them.
