Meadow Poultry

Meadow Poultry is located near Thetford, Norfolk, they are a small family poultry supplier and poultry breeder. Their chickens are pure bred and live in a natural, healthy environment on their 6 acre meadow. Their chicks have full access to free range, as soon as it is safe for them to do so. The chickens love to find all sorts of natural food, sunbathe, have a good dust bath, stretch their legs about the meadow and relax - all things which make for happy, healthy chickens!

As they are a small poultry breeder and do not breed their birds for a living - their birds are always of top quality and health - so demand for chickens is high and availability is limited.

Meadow Poultry is famed for the Sussex Bantam which originated in Britain in around 1920 and is a dwarfed version of the Sussex. The Sussex Bantams are a very beautiful breed, with a very placid nature. They are easily tamed and make superb pets, as they are affectionate and rarely show aggression in any form. The hens are very productive layers - laying eggs that are cream to light brown in colour, often continuing right through winter. They are also adept at coping with bad weather.

SUSSEX BANTAMS: Red, Light, White, Brown, Silver, Buff, Speckled, Coronation.

SILKIES: White (bearded & non bearded), Gold (non bearded), Black (bearded & non
bearded), Cuckoo (bearded), Blue (non bearded).

ARAUCANA BANTAMS (Blue eggs): Lavender.

MARAN BANTAM (dark Brown eggs): Cuckoo
