My inexperience let me down. I purchased 10 chickens last August. The Welsummer died after 3 days from a heart attack. The Cuckoo Maran began coughing up tissue and died a day later. All others got swollen eyes, coughing, sneezing and very ill inside 5 days. Most recovered after 3 weeks of Tylan (excessive). Wyandotte sent for necropsy, found both Mycoplasmas, Fowl choryza and excessive roundworm. Two birds' feet so twisted that they couldn't hold perch to roost, others bent also. It took 3 months' careful feeding and treatment to get faeces that did not contain worm or blood. The Australorp lasted until this Easter, but finally expired due to heart condition that caused fits from between 4 times a week to 5 times a day (varied). Have needed Tylan 6 times this winter, Pekin bantam has constant cough, there are still constant concerns for health of all remaining birds each time weather or arrangements change, and of course the diseases are in the flock until they all die. Only rudeness and unpleasantness from Tom. Terrible time! Never again.

What a fabulous place, highly recommended, we are complete novices to chicken keeping, left there with 3 stunning birds, and able to catch and hold them and info on caring for them. Lovely friendly staff, will not be going anywhere else
